A series of Art Application classes at Kent Library will begin Wednesday, April 12th 10:30-12:30 and continue for 6 weeks.
Participants in this series of workshops and a museum tour will examine a selection of works of art considering aesthetic, technical, and historical characteristics. They will be guided to look at several works in depth, and to try hands-on drawing exercises that demonstrate the creation of the artwork and the artists’ styles. The works discussed will include European paintings, Hudson River School painters, and 20th century artists such as Picasso and O’Keefe.
The last class will be a guided tour of the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College to look at several originals of the artwork discussed. No previous art experience needed. Space is limited. Attendance at all 5 sessions is strongly recommended.
