Hi - I am Virginia Barrett-Ruszczyk, a long-time resident of Brewster (since 1965) and I am participating in a local fundraiser on November 4 called Light the Night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ("LLS"). LLS is a nonprofit charity dedicated to curing blood cancers and helping patients and their caregivers. I am participating in this event in honor of my niece (also from Brewster) who has a rare form of blood cancer called polycythemia vera.
