United Way of Westchester and Putnam Announces $500,000 in Grants to Nonprofits

The United Way of Westchester and Putnam (United Way) is proud to announce the distribution of grants totaling $500,000 to 44 deserving nonprofit organizations across the region. This significant investment in our community demonstrates United Way's commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient Westchester and Putnam. Notably, six of the awarded organizations are receiving funding from United Way for the first time.

The funds were made available through United Way’s Community Impact Fund, the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, and a partnership with PepsiCo. The grant processes were highly competitive, with United Way receiving over 200 proposals across the opportunities. The selected recipients represent a range of nonprofits, each with a unique mission and vision, yet all are committed to improving the lives of individuals and families who are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) in our community.

United Way of Westchester and Putnam is deeply committed to creating lasting change in our community. Through strategic investments in local nonprofits, United Way is helping to build a stronger, more inclusive Westchester and Putnam.
