Free Emergency Food Available for Pick up or Delivery in Putnam

To help those who have been financially affected by the COVID-19 public health emergency, Putnam County Government and the United Way of Westchester of Putnam have organized for food to be available for pick up on from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2020 in the parking lot of Putnam County’s Donald B. Smith Campus, 110 Old Route 6, Carmel, NY 10512.

This distribution is for Putnam County residents only. Pre-registration is required. For seniors or those who are immune compromised, volunteers are available to deliver the food within Putnam County. To get more information or to register, call 211 or visit uwwp.org/food

Last Thursday scores of volunteers who came out to package, distribute and in case of seniors or those whose immune system is compromised, even deliver food to them.

Volunteers are needed. There are three shifts available: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. - Setup and Bag
Assembly; 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Food Distribution and Bag Assembly; 10 a.m. to noon – Food
