American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Patterson Needs Cancer Fighting Teams and Event Volunteers

The American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life of Patterson needs teams and volunteers passionate about the fight against cancer for its annual event on Saturday,
June 11, 2022, at Patterson Fire Department.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of ACS and are critical to our success at every level. By joining the Relay For Life movement, volunteers help us save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a
world without cancer.

In 2021, we raised over $66,000 through our Relay For Life event to help our ACS to restore and
reenergize the programs, resources, and events that are the foundation of who we are. We
reopened our Hope Lodge® program in all markets this year, offering lodging to people facing
cancer and their caregivers. We continued our investment in a cancer-free future with $395 million
in research grants to find new ways to prevent, find, and treat cancer, as well as help improve the
quality of life for people living with cancer.

As we look to 2022, we are excited to Welcome you Back to Relay as we know and love it at
Patterson Fire Department to raise even more to support the lifesaving mission of your American
Cancer Society!

We invite you to join the movement to end cancer and sign up a Relay For Life team! It is as simple as going to our event’s website (relayforlife.org/pattersonny), clicking, “Sign Up”, then inviting friends and family to join you to raise funds and come celebrate our survivors, remember loved one lost, fight back together and walk with us on June 11!

Other ways to join the Relay For Life movement include:

  • Become a volunteer on our event planning committee or for the day of our event
  • Make a donation
  • Invite a cancer survivor to be celebrated, or if you’re a survivor, join us!
  • Become a sponsor
  • Host a fundraiser
