Zachary Schwartz, or “Big Z”, was the epitome of a fine young man. Sadly, he was taken from us far too soon, losing his battle with leukemia at the young age of 14.
Zach was a son, a brother and a friend. He was a Bomber and a Bear and a member of the Brigade. He was a great student and a great example.
Zach was an inspiration; one who embodied everything that is great about this league and the game of baseball. Always in high spirits and always willing to do any job asked of him, Zach put his teammates first and never complained.
He created his "ZACC (Zach Attacks Childhood Cancer) Attack" charity for other children suffering from cancer. Even as he suffered, his heart was with others. His courage and strength was such that you would never know there was anything wrong.
His family, friends and our community will continue this fight in his honor. To that end, we are proud to announce the 3rd Annual ZACC ATTACK Field Of Dreams Baseball Celebration on Saturday, September 3rd (Rain date September 4th).
We will host baseball and softball games throughout the day for different ages. Ballplayers of every skill level are encouraged to join in.
$10 per player. Drinks and Snacks will be available for purchase, along with T-Shirts, and a 50/50 raffle. You need not be present to win the raffle. All proceeds will go to fighting Pediatric cancer via #Gold Together ZACC ATTACK and American Cancer Society.
