Girl Scouts Work To Reach Goal Of Sending 150,000 Boxes To Military

Since 2002, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson’s (GSHH) volunteer Alison Bergman has organized Operation Cookie Drop to show our appreciation to our brave servicemen and women. Operation Cookie Drop’s goal is to share a sweet taste of home for American servicemen and servicewomen deployed overseas.  As far as Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (GSHH) is concerned, the concepts of both “sweetness” and “home” can be best summed up by three magic words: Girl Scout cookies!

Last year, GSHH donated over 105,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to our servicemen and servicewomen who serving abroad, stateside and in military hospitals.

This year, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson has a goal to send 150,000 Girl Scout Cookies for Operation Cookie Drop.

Over the next few weeks, Girl Scouts throughout the lower Hudson Valley will be selling Girl Scout Cookies at booth sales where you can make a donation to Operation Cookie Drop or by making a donation online at: www.girlscoutshh.org/OpDrop.

To find a cookie booth near you, please visit https://www.girlscouts.org/en/cookies/cookies.html and type in your zip code or contact your favorite local girl scout to see if her troop is collecting!
