Public Funding Available for Art Projects happening in Putnam County in 2019

The Putnam Arts Council announces that public funds totaling $40,000 will be available to arts organizations and community non-profits as well as to artists sponsored through a County non-profit, for cultural projects that are open to the public and take place in 2019. These public funds have been received from both Putnam County and New York State and are provided to foster quality arts projects that enrich the lives of area residents while increasing audiences for the arts and creating opportunities for area artists and arts organizations.

Funding will be disseminated through our ARTS LINK Community Grant Program.  Funding awards will be determined by an independent panel of community leaders and area artists and administrators upon review of a competitive grant application process.   There is a 3 application maximum per organization.  The grant request cannot be for less than $800 or more than $5000.  The applicant’s non-profit status must be incorporated in Putnam County.  For the Program’s Guidelines, additional eligibility requirements, specific details and the list of 2018 Arts Link grant recipients please refer to our comprehensive website, www.putnamartscouncil.com
