Brewster Girl Scout Troop Runs Clothing Drive

For the past four years, Girl Scout Troop 1435 has run the clothing drive Gabby’s Closet at the end of each summer. The girls of Troop 1435 collect donations from friends and family, and donate their own clothing for the drive. The purpose of Gabby's Closet is too ensure that teenagers in need will have stylish and trendy clothes to start the new school year with. The girls work with Putnam CAP to run the drive and make sure that there is a place to give away the donations given to Gabby's Closet.

The Girl Scouts of Troop 1435 help run the drive for four days. They assist others in finding the right sizes, styles and trends. The girls work hard to make sure the space the drive is held in remains clean and organized and that everyone has a chance to find what they want.

Troop 1435 would not have been able to run this drive without the help and supervision of their leader Mary Stapleton, who works alongside the girls to make sure everything goes as planned. This was the last year Troop 1435 will be running the drive, as they are entering there final year of Girl Scouts.
