4-H Youth Give Back - 4-H Giving Tree Project

On Tuesday, several of our 4-H Youth Leaders - got the chance to play the role as Holiday Elves - as they delivered a large batch of Holiday Gifts - collected and donated by the Putnam Community - to CoveCare - through the 4-H Giving Tree Project.

The 4-H Giving Tree Project began about 9 years ago, and has grown to now include 4 Trees - located at George's Place Restaurant in Carmel, The Putnam DMV in Brewster, The Mahopac Library, and at our new location this year, C&E Paint & Hardware in Cold Spring.

Members of the 4-H Teen Action Group as well as Members of the 4-H Adventure Kids, took part in the month long project of setting up the trees and stocking them regularly with gift request tags, as well as collecting gifts and delivering them to CoveCare throughout December!

The gift requests are collected by the staff at CoveCare in an effort to help those in need this Holiday Season.

Special thanks to all of our 4-H Elves (Youth Leaders & Club Members) as well as our community partners, for their support in helping the 4-H Youth Development Program, so that we can provide this special program and make a difference in the Putnam Community!
