Brewster Rotary teams up with Putnam Service Dogs for Funminster Dog Show

Brewster Rotary has teamed up with Putnam Service Dogs to sponsor the organizations Funminster Dog Show on Saturday May 18th from 1pm until 3 pm. Nancy Teague, Putnam Service Dogs founder and CEO attended Rotary's weekly Tuesday meeting on March19 at Aversano's Restaurant in Brewster with Bailey, a chocolate Lab in training to demonstrate what service dogs can do and to be presented with a check for $500.00 dollars for the organization by Rotarian Joe Ruggiero.

The Funminster Dog Show takes place at the Patterson Recreation center on Front Street. There will be several categories of judging from Best Wiggle Butt to Best kisser along with a pet/owner lookalike contest. Master of Ceremonies for the day will be Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell. Day of show registration starts at 12 pm but you can register online at putnamservicedogs.org. The cost to enter a dog in the show is only $20 per dog/handler. Food and beverages will be available for purchase the day of the show. if you only wish to see the show and not compete the cost is $15 per adult ($20 at the door) and kids 12 and under are only $5. for more information or to register your dog in the show visit putnamservicedogs.org. All Breeds, Mixes and ages of friendly dogs are welcome. Putnam Services dogs is a no-profit and ECAD registered trainer of service dogs for people with disabilities other than blindness.

*Dogs must be current on all vaccinations
(Rabies, Canine Flu and Bordetella)
Vet records are required with your application. No exceptions!
All dogs must be on a leash. No extendo leashes please.
