Early Childhood Learning Center at St. Lawrence O'Toole 10th Anniversary and Re-Dedication

St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish held a 10th Anniversary celebration and Grand Re-opening of it’sEarly Childhood Learning Center Satuerday morning at the center located at 31 Prospect Street in the Village of Brewster.

School Director Kimberly Santerre was joined by the Brewster Chamber of Commerce President Bill Flash along with Village and Town officials, parents and students in the re-dedication of the facility which opened ten years ago. Santerre praised Donna Colello whom she called a “Founding MOM” for her hard work over the last ten years and remarked she hoped “to be able to fill her shoes”

After a brief prayer by Deacon Mark Shkreli and remarks from Chamber President Flash, he and Director Santerre cut the ribbon. Mr. Flash also presented Director Santerre with a plaque commemorating the day.

The students and guests were treated to book readings from Local childrens authors, Doris Tomaselli and Carol Paterno who co-wrote Swan Pond and Slippery Soap. They were joined by fellow author John Paolucci who wrote Saving Montana. Refreshments were provided by “Cookies by Christine along with coffee, tea and assorted juices for the kids. There was a free raffle for an overstuffed “Summer Basket” filled with beach toys.

St. Lawrence O’Toole Early Childhood Learning Center is a child-centered, value-oriented, co-educational Catholic school serving children ages three and four.  The Center aims for academic excellence in an environment of religious and moral formations.
