Over 80 Films at the VOB Film Festival

The VOB Film Festival, Putnam County's Film Festival, is expanding once again with great independent films!

This year's festival will take place from August 22nd - September 1st.  It will include over 80 films that range from horror, science fiction, drama, comedy and every genre possible.  The Festival will also be showing films in its first out of county venue on August 22nd as we seek to expand screen time to bring the many award-winning films that have been submitted.

The Festival will continue with its tribute to the Silent Film Era and screen Sherlock Jr., starring Buster Keaton with another silent classic - The Great Train Robbery.

"This year is incredible in so many ways," according to Chairman Bob Dumont, who runs the festival.  "We went from 50 films last year to 80 films this year and also have another great orchestra and Silent Film event. It is such a unique event"

The Festival will be bringing back its Dinner and a Movie event on August 23rd.  The event will have full dinner and dessert and have two hours of film. Dinner and a Movie will take place at Arts on The Lake.

The Film Festival will open at the Bedford Playhouse on August 22nd and include two hours of film and a Question and Answer session.  It will continue from August 23-25th at Arts on the Lake in Kent.  From August 30-September 1st, films will be shown at the Theater at Drew Methodist in Carmel, Ryder Farm in Southeast and Arts on the Lake in Kent.
