Bears Fall to Nyack in OT Thriller At Home

The new-look Brewster Bears Varsity Boys Basketball Team opened up their season at home last night against Nyack to a packed crowd. It was a close game throughout its entirety and someone had to lose, it happened to be Brewster who lost 48-43 in Overtime to the Indians.

Throughout the back and forth game the Bears were led by Junior Kobey Hart had twenty points to go with sixteen points by Senior Paul Catalano and rebounds from Junior Dylan Villodas and Senior Nick Girard. Brewster stayed in the fight throughout the game but in the end, Nyack got the upper hand and came away with the win.

Coming off of a 6-15 campaign last season where a plethora of Seniors graduated, The Bears start off 0-1 on the year and in the coming week there are two away games, one at Harrison this Tuesday, December 10 at 6:15 PM, and at Riverside two days later on the twelfth at 4:30 PM before the Bears have five straight home games starting with Carmel on the fourteenth and ending with Somers on January 9th.
