Ocean Blue Art Exhibit at Kent Library

An collection of alcohol ink paintings on yupo paper created by Jeanette Rodriguez is now on display at the Kent Public Library.  The exhibition, entitled "Ocean Blue",  runs  - 29th, 2020

Nature has always fascinated Ms. Rodriguez. It’s no surprise to her that she sees nature’s serenity and spirit reflected in her creations. Her alcohol Ink paintings on yupo paper replicate connections and relationships that compose our world. Layer upon layers of color, her compositions project a surreal quality and calmness in an abstract dream-like setting. She finds herself drawn to the tranquility of a forest or the colors of the sea, the formation of coral reef and its ocean creatures. She seeks to capture that kind of beauty, moment, or feeling in her artwork.

According to Ms. Rodriguez, "My art is an expression of my humanity and my spiritual growth; it helps me to live consciously and courageously with compassion. And if along the way I awaken someone else’s spirit and inspire another to create; than my work is done!"
