Brewster Schools Propositions Pass

On Tuesday. March 21, 2023, voters in the Brewster Central School District passed Brewster Vision Capital Project Proposition 1 by a margin of 746 yes votes to 452 no votes and Proposition 2 by a margin of 639 yes votes to 557 no votes.

The project will provide the district with much needed infrastructure upgrades and repairs and educational enhancements at every school building across the district.

This is the result of a great deal of work and research over the past two years by the district's Facilities Planning Task Force and Finance Committee. In the months leading up to the vote, there was a capital project newsletter. videos with information on propositions, and district-wide information sessions to provide all members of the community with ample opportunities to learn about the project, ask questions, share concerns. and provide feedback.

"I want to thank Brewster voters for supporting students by providing safe and state of the art beaming facilities as well as providing funds for critical improvements across the district, " said Superintendent Dr. Laurie Bandlow.

"The Board is grateful to the community for its support of both Proposition 1 and Proposition 2 of our capital improvement project for the district: said Board President Kerry Cunningham. `These enhancements will have significant and positive impacts on students and staff. and the community at large. We thank the community members and district staff who worked so diligently to put forward proposals that the community could support."
