'The Art of Symbology' at Tompkins Corners Cultural Center

On Sunday, July 9th at 2:00 pm, Tompkins Corners will present “The Art of Symbology,” an exhibit by Dr. Nadine Gordon-Taylor, a classically trained intuitive artist. This show focuses on the beauty of animals, birds, insects, plants, esoteric symbols, and transformative myths from around the world.

“I have created art with symbols in it for as long as I have had conscious memory. I consider myself a “translator,” helping viewers tap into a wider spectrum of consciousness. It is my hope that as you view and experience the colors, shapes, and objects in my art, you let yourself journey beyond the intellect and experience the heart.”

Nadine has taught publicly and privately for over thirty years and has lectured and given workshops across the country. Her prints, drawings and paintings have been exhibited and are in collections around the world.  The creator of The Heart Path Oracle Cards (2018), Animal Love Oracle Cards (2021), and The Crystal Clear Oracle Cards (2024), she runs a gallery, Third Eye Arts, in Peekskill, New York. https://www.thethirdeyestudio.com

During the reception, Gordon-Taylor will briefly discuss her work and give a group reading from her Heart Path Oracle Cards. Music will be provided by Adam Love and refreshments will be served.

This event is free with donations gratefully accepted, and is supported by a grant from the Anne Anastasi Foundation facilitated by Jonathan Galente and Mary Beth Minton. The exhibit will be on view in our Maaike Hoekstra Gallery during events from July 8 - August 16, 2023.
