The Stage is Set for Next Week's Brewster High School's Production of "Music Man"

The stage is set and the cast, crew and pit are hard at work fine-tuning Brewster High School's Spring Musical "The Music Man” which will take place on March 22nd and 23rd at 6:30pm, and March 24th at 2:00pm and 6:30pm at the Brewster High School Performing Arts Center 50 Foggintown Road in Brewster, NY. Tickets can be purchase online for $15/Adults and $12/Students & Seniors until March 21. Tickets will be available at the door for $15 general admission.

Show Synopsis:

Fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. By turns funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is is a story to be shared with every generation. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences for over fifty years.

About the Cast:

The show features sophomore RJ Frankenberry as Harold Hill, a fast-talking salesman who travels city to city to make a quick buck scamming people into buying instruments. Senior Megan Campbell plays Marian Paroo, the stern town librarian who sets out to try to expose Harold. The cast also features senior Max Likens as Marcellus, Harold’s old con-partner, junior Sarah Borsari as Marian's loving mother Mrs. Paroo, Jarrid Bryggman and Roderick Cassidy double cast as Marian's shy little brother Winthrop Paroo, sophomore Andrew DiFabbio as River City's Mayor George Shinn, senior Cecilia Guida as Eulalie Shinn, the eccentric Mayor's wife, Senior Erin Vaughan as Zaneeta Shinn, the quirky and rebellious daughter to Mayor Shinn, and Junior Tommy Froessel who plays the town's young troublemaker Tommy Djilas.

Rounding out the cast are Will Banks, Brianna Barbosa, Jackie Bechara, Rhiana Brennan, Christine Brown, Taylor Byrne, Alexa Byrnes, Skye Connolly, Bridget Courtney, Florence Cuomo, Grace Curley, Jenn DeSantis, Dora DiVenuti, MaryAnn Droesch, Charlie Fitzpatrick, Gunnar Gabriel, Mili Gonzalez, James Hartigan, Maeve Healy, Katie Howell, Angela Hupp, Isabela Izaguirre, Karen Kimble, Erin Kirkpatrick, Joseph Likens, Aaron Lurin, Madeline Majette, Fiona McCoppin, Alonzo McLemore, Caitlin Otto, Layla Pagan, Liam Payne, Ben Pollak, Erin Renzi, Nicole Rivera, Haley Riolo, Brooke Ryan, Chiara Saraceno, Grace Stathatos, Annie Sullivan, Angelica Tapia, Julie Tramontana, and Hailley Vieira. Harold Hill's "Youth Band" consists of all CV Starr Intermediate School and Wells Middle School students, including Marley Beal, Jeffrey Bryggman, Jarrid Bryggman, Ellie Cassidy, Roderick Cassidy, Nico Corrado, Harrison Dakin, Keira Golash, Ronald Kubilus, Stevie Nadig, Alexandra Schajer and Ava Stano.

The show is directed and produced by Stephanie Rubino, Musical Direction by George Viglucci, Choreography by Meggan Herod and Vocal Direction by Joanne Archibald and Traci Greenberg.
