Laser Blues Show with Live Music on May 5

Saturday , May 5th at 7:30PM for the VOB Film Festival's first Laser Blues Night!  

Laser Blues Night will include both live and pre-recorded blues music with a laser light show, as well as, live music from the Traveling Riverside Blues Band.  "It is a concept we have thought about for several years, and have finally been able to act on it," says chairman Bob Dumont. 

The laser show was the result of many local sponsors in the community who provided the funds necessary for equipment purchases.  "Through the help of many local businesses, we were able to raise the money needed to purchase equipment.  Because of this, we are now in a position to offer some unique shows and experiences," Dumont continued.

The Film Festival has an ambitious slate of activities in 2018.  Virtual Reality Night included many high quality VR entertainment systems and projectors.  The laser show includes some expensive laser hardware.  The film festival had to also had to get someone trained in the use of laser technology.  "We are out to truly create some unique experiences in film and media." 

The Laser Blues show will include multi-color lasers that will be shot on a 14 foot screen and ceiling of the Theater at Drew Methodist on Route 52 in Carmel.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a reclining lounge chair.

"Come experience a night of laser lights and great blues music.  To make your viewing easier recline in your own lounge chair for easier viewing. But we will have plenty of chairs available for those that need one," says Stacy Dumont, festival co-chair.
