Observing Yom Hashoah April 29 at Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster

Dear Neighbors:

On Sunday April 29 at 10:30 AM Judy Altman, a speaker from The Holocaust and Human Rights Education and Speakers Bureau, will be sharing her first-hand account of her experience in Europe during the Holocaust. Judy is a concentration camp survivor. The talk will be held at Temple Beth Elohim, 31 Mt. Ebo North, Brewster, NY.

This event is sponsored by the Temple Beth Elohim  Board of Education in keeping with our commitment to observe Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day). The talk is free and open to the public. Please share information about this event with your congregants.

A recent New York Times article entitled,  Holocaust is fading from Memory, Survey Finds, cites a recent survey that suggests that awareness of the Holocaust is fading from our collective memory. This is a rare opportunity to hear a first-hand account from a survivor. We hope that you and your congregants will consider joining us for this very important event.

Please call the temple office if you have any questions regarding this event. Our number is 845-279-4585, Ext.1.

We look forward to seeing you,

B
