Author Julie Lindahl at Arts on the Lake

The Pendulum

Tuesday, October 16, at 7:30 pm

A Granddaughter's search for her family's forbidden Nazi past.

This powerful memoir traces Brazilian-born American Julie Lindahl’s journey to uncover her grandparents’ role in WWII as she is driven to understand why they became members of Hitler’s elite, the SS. Out of the unbearable heart of the story—the unclaimed guilt that devours a family through generations—emerges an unflinching will to learn the truth.

Ms. Lindahl will be reading from, speaking about and having a Q & A session about the process of writing her new book, The Pendulum.

Julie Lindahl is an author and educator living in Sweden. She writes and speaks widely about her experiences, is a contributor to WBUR Cognoscenti (Boston Public Radio) and has been featured on National Public Radio.
