Now that the holiday season is in full swing it was time for The Brewster Rotary Club to hold its annual Holiday Breakfast for the community at Applebee's in the Highlands Plaza.  This event has become a yearly tradition for Rotary and is and usually well attended. This year was no exception as over 200 local residents were treated to a free pancake breakfast this past Saturday morning, Dec. 15th, courtesy of the Rotary. More than a dozen members of the Brewster High School Rotary Interact Club were on hand as greeters, waiters, cooks and busboys. Rotarians were also hard at work in the kitchen along side the Interact Club members. Santa even took time out of his very busy schedule to stop by and take pictures with the kids and even some older folks got their photos snapped with the big guy.

Brewster Rotary provides this event free every year for the community as way to say thank you to Brewster residents for their support though out the year. They have also partnered with Putnam CAP and Applebee's on a Coat Drive this year. Drop off a new or gently used coat to the Rotary drop box at Applebee's and they will give you a coupon for 10% off your next meal with them. Brewster Rotary members then collect the coats and deliver them to the Putnam CAP for distribution to needy persons. There is also a coat drop off box at Heidi's Inn on Route 22. Owner and Rotarian Sean Diggins will gladly take your donation and deliver it to Putnam CAP.

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Rotary Interact clubs are sponsored by individual rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but the clubs themselves are self-governing and self-supporting. Brewster Rotary is proud to support the Brewster High School club and very grateful for their assistance at their events.
