Webinar on Nutrition For People With Breast Or Ovarian Cancer”

Support Connection, Inc. announces a free educational webinar: “Nutrition For People With Breast Or Ovarian Cancer” will be offered on Tues., Feb. 12 from 8-9 pm EST.  Open to people nationwide who are living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancers. To learn more or to pre-register (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) call Support Connection at 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290.

This program will offer guidance on how to overcome confusion about nutrition and learn ways to gain more control. Topics will include: Recommendations from the American Institute for Cancer Research; Organic eating; Eating well even when you don’t feel well: Perfecting the plant-based diet; Experimenting with produce; Overcoming  roadblocks to healthy eating, such as time and fatigue. There will also be a question and answer period.

SPEAKER: Lauren Talbert, RD, CSO, LDN. Ms. Talbert is a Registered Dietitian licensed by the state of RI, a Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition and an oncology rehab STAR certified clinician. She holds a BS degree in dietetics and nutritional science, and completed her dietetic internship at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Currently she works for Sodexo as a Registered Dietitian for the Program in Women’s Oncology at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. Ms. Talbert presents to medical professionals, oncology patients and their family members, and to the community.
