Introduction to Babysitting 101 at the Brewster Public Library

On Saturday May 11th from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm, the Brewster Public Library will be holding an Introduction to Babysitting Course at the Library on Main Street in the Village of Brewster. 

In this introduction to babysitting course, students will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, the stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children.  A simple test will be administered at the completion of the course and certificates will be distributed. This program is open to youths from any community that are between the ages of 10-16.

Amanda Tucker, the class instructor, holds a degree in Special Ed, Early Education and Child Psychology.  Students should bring paper, pen/pencil, and a lunch.  Registration required. Contact the Library at 279-6421 or visit their website, Brewster Public Library.
