A large amount of traffic and visitors are expected to attend the services for the Honorable Judge James Reitz at the Bureau of Emergency Services (TOPS) building on Old Route 6 in Carmel today between 2pm and 8pm. Judge Reitz passed away suddenly on Friday June 14th while presiding over court at the Putnam County Historic Courthouse. Please plan alternate routes of travel during these times to avoid the anticipated congestion. Funeral Services for Judge Reitz are scheduled for Tuesday June 18, 2019 at 10:30 am at St, James the Apostle R.C. Church on Gleneida Ave in Carmel. A large turnout at the funeral service is anticipated as well so leave extra time for your travels.
HamletHub News has learned that all Putnam County Government Offices will close today, Monday June 17, 2019, at 2:00 pm to allow Judge Reitz's fellow county employees to attend the services and pay their respects to the Reitz Family.
