The Brewster Central School District has instituted new pick up procedures for JFK Elementary School. The new system was implemented yesterday January 28th and is explained in the following letter sent to district parents by John Conroy, the Assistant Principal of JFK Elementary School.
"Dear JFK Parents and Guardians,
Since my return to work this January I have made observations as well as listened to staff and parent concerns. Then I held meetings to address these concerns with the Principal and my building safety team. Beginning tomorrow, January 28th, 2020 we will move pick ups to the far side of the gymnasium, towards the back of the JFK parking lot. Our protocol and procedures will remain the same. Moving parent pick up to the far side of the gymnasium will allow parents space to line up safely out of the way of moving vehicles. We will have extra staff on duty to assist until pick up procedures run smoothly. Fell free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
