Brewster High School’s S.A.L.T.Y. Hands club (Saving a Life Through Today’s Youth) prepares for March 6, 2020, as the Mr. Brewster Spectacular competition approaches. This annual event was started to help raise awareness and funds for Cystic fibrosis, a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. CF impacts around 30,000 people in this country and nearly 70,000 worldwide. There is no cure. Learn more about CF at www.cff.org.
The 14 contestants began raising donations online and in school, and will last until the day of the show. As we advance towards opening night, the competitors are working hard to practice talents and rehearse their performances for the audience. The boys show their charisma by answering questions on the spot, revealing hidden talents and showcasing their unexpected dancing abilities. Although the bar was set high last year, we have confidence that we can reach our goal of $60,000 this year, for such a valuable cause. While this goal may seem insurmountable, the Brewster pride and support will pull through, as always. Come and show some love to this amazing cause and contribute to the community!
The Mr. brewster Contest will be held at the BHS Auditorium on Friday 3/6/2020 at 6:30pm. Admission is only $5.
