Metro North's Harlem Line Service changes

On Sunday, August 29, Metro North Railroad added more trains and changed the schedule on the Harlem line.

The increase in trains will bring the MNRR full weekday service (for all three lines) to 82% of the pre-pandemic schedule.

It will also feature a return to full weekend service on all three lines, something to celebrate just in time for weekend excursions and leaf-peeping season.

       On the Harlem Line there will be 37 additional trains, with 189 weekday trains;

o   There will be 8 additional inbound trains between 5 AM and 9:59 AM
o   There will be 6 additional outbound trains between 5 AM and 9:59 AM
o   There will be 5 additional outbound trains during the PM peak, (4 PM to 8 PM)

       On the Wassaic Branch, direct service to and from Grand Central Terminal resumes with two direct, "one-seat" rides in each direction.

The new schedule includes the Labor Day holiday train service as follows:
       On Friday, Sept. 3, a new expanded weekday schedule with additional getaway trains;
       On Monday, Sept. 6,  they will operate the new expanded Sunday train schedule.

Off-peak fares remain in effect until further notice.
