Work began this week on the demolition of the old 7 Stars Family Restaurant and Diner on Route 22 in Southeast/Brewster to make way for a Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill.
After sitting vacant for over a year, crews came in early Tuesday September 6th and began tearing the building down.
Salsa Fresca is reportedly developing the property for one of its stand alone restaurants and possibly a co-tenant which has not been announced.
Launched in 2008 with an "open kitchen" concept, fresh ingredients and traditional flavors from Mexico, Salsa Fresca guests have consistently praised the extremely fresh dishes, as well as the transparency which allows guests to see exactly what is being prepared, and how. A Salsa Fresca Carmel location opened in the Putnam Plaza Shopping Center on Route 6 several years ago.
No date for the opening of the new Southeast location has been announced.
