Henry von Bargen of Carmel, NY and formerly of Brewster, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 94. He was born November 14, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Henry and Anna (Jacobs) von Bargen. On February 11, 1951 he married Marie Weber. She predeceased him in July 2018.
Henry served in the United States Army post WWII in Germany. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he attended SUNY Cobleskill where he earned an Associate's Degree. Henry retired from IBM Corp. after more than 30 years as an Executive Producer of Video Productions.
In his retirement he and Marie enjoyed wintering in Florida in his Airstream trailer. He spent many summers at his log cabin in Boothbay, Maine
Henry enjoyed his computer, riding his motorcycle in Florida and recently, endless crime shows. He especially loved his grandchildren and his great grandsons.
He is survived by his three children, his son, Kenneth and his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Jeanne; his daughter, Nancy Knapp and her husband, Randy; 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 6 great grandsons. In addition to his wife, Marie he is predeceased by his grandson, Cory.
On Sunday, August 14 at 1:00 pm friends and family are welcome to attend a Memorial Service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2103 Route 6, Brewster, NY. Interment will be private.
