Southsidohnny and the Asbury Jukes have been a staple in New Jersey since 1975. With a true Jersey Shore sound, John Lyon cut his teeth in Asbury Park, New Jersey, among the likes of Max Weinberg, Steve Van Zandt, and Bruce Springsteen. In fact, Southside Johnny co-founded the Asbury Jukes band alongside Little Steven Van Zandt.

Southside Johnny and the Ashbury Jukes have flourished since their start in that shore scene, having released more than 30 albums, performed in thousands of venues around the globe, and counting over one hundred musicians as having been members. Renowned for their exuberant rhythm and blues feel, legendary horn section, and famously high-energy shows and no-holds-barred songs, they continue to expound their signature Jersey Shore sound wherever they travel.
