Recently, Todd Gianguzzi posted a video (attached) of a Drone's Eye View of Brewster Village. Mr Gianguzzi, owner of Gianguzzi Photography, gave us an inside look into his creation of the video:
Why did you decide to take a “Drone’s Eye View" of Brewster?
The Village is unique and I love having the train station and reservoir views all in one area. I've been photographing the Village for 15+ years from the ground and wanted to get a different perspective, what a better choice then 400 feet off the ground.
Can you tell us about the Drone and it’s camera?
According to BHP Photo, the Phantom 4 Pro from DJI boasts a 3-axis-stabilized gimbal camera with a 20MP, 1" CMOS sensor capable of shooting up to 4K/60fps video and well as photo bursts at up to 14 fps.
Please keep in mind this is not a toy and requires experience to fly. It must be registered with the FAA and abide by all the rules that come along with it. Some of those restrictions are flying under 400 feet, not flying over large groups of people or stadiums and the obvious of not being under the influence during flight. I've been flying remote control airplanes for over 30 years and found the drone world intriguing.
When was the video taken?
Video footage was taken about 6:30pm on March 23rd, after a long day of work, it’s very relaxing to spend 1/2 hour in the air.
Nothing at this time but did realize my roof looks like it’s in great condition.
Do you have any plans to take another video of Brewster Village? Or another local area?
Yes, this will be one of many video to come in the future. I did post that I’ll be in Ireland in April and will be bringing the drone for off the ground footage. If you would like to join my journey and view my pictures, please “like” my photography Facebook page, “Gianguzzi Photography” I also have ambitions to photograph Carmel, I love how the town sits peacefully along the lake. I've recently been hired by a real estate firm to take aerial pictures of perspective houses that will be listed. I look forward to serving the community.
