CoveCare Center CEO Diane Russo Honored at MHA in Putnam’s Recognition Breakfast

Many thanks to the Mental Health Association in Putnam (MHA) for a beautiful morning of recognizing community members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of mental health. We are proud to announce that CoveCare Center’s CEO, Diane Russo, MS, CASAC, was presented the Rabbi Solomon B. Acrish, Ph.D. Humanitarian Award for her 20 years of professional service to improve the lives of those facing mental health and substance use issues.

Megan Castellano, Executive Director of MHA commented, “Diane is a wonderful advocate for those in need. I admire her steadfast dedication to the community and her commitment to improving the lives of the most vulnerable among us while demonstrating leadership, compassion, and kindness to everyone she meets.” Ms. Castellano noted that CoveCare Center and MHA recently formed an affiliation to leverage the strengths of both organizations and continue to grow the mental health services available to residents of Putnam and neighboring counties.

Two of CoveCare Center’s nominees were also honored at the ceremony. Congratulations to Armanda Famiglietti of Locally Sourced for her efforts to inform and support those in the community with mental health needs. “We have been fortunate to work with Armanda and appear on several episodes of Locally Sourced, sharing information about our programs and helping to spread the word that help is available and recovery is possible,” stated Debbie Levin, Director of Development at CoveCare Center.

The second nominee honored was the staff of HH Wells Middle School, represented by Jeanmarie Mullen. Ms. Levin added, “We are always so appreciative of HH Wells and their annual Italian Bistro night that raises funds for our programs and helps us to continue to provide children and families the support they need during times of stress or crisis.”
