2018 SCORE/WEDC Women’s Conference a huge success

On Saturday 4/28 approximately 50 professional women from Putnam, Dutchess and Westchester counties participated in the inaugural Women’s Conference held at the Putnam County Emergency Services Training Center in Carmel.

Attendees were treated to a well received presentation, “The Road to Success” offered in a unique interview style by Kate Bradley Chernis, CEO and Founder of Lively. Additional well attended workshops covered an array of topics including Rebranding, the Latest Trends in Social Media, Making Negotiating Easier, Forging Your Own Path to Success and others.   The Conference ended with a networking luncheon held at Tilly’s Table restaurant at Tilly Foster Farm and featured on point remarks by Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell.

George Joiner, Chairman of Putnam SCORE, and Cynthia Marsh-Kroll, Program Manager and EAP Director for WEDC said they were most gratified by the feedback they received about individual workshops and the unanimous desire of the attendees to have a similar event next year. “To me, that’s the true criteria of success” said Joiner, who also expressed sincere thanks to the event’s sponsors AT&T, Tompkins Mahopac Bank, the SCORE Foundation and Digital Empire for their financial and logistical support.
