Summer is the perfect time for college prep

It’s summer and time to relax! Well, not exactly if you are a junior. In fact, using this summer to prepare for your final push to apply to college is ideal. With a little bit of effort, you could complete your Common Application and write your college application essay with EA Test Prep. In just one week, you will accomplish critical parts of the college process, which will allow you to enjoy your senior year more. Here’s how it works. You pick a time of day that you are free each day for one week to meet with the EA Team for one and half hours. After your session, you leave with ideas that are the basis for your essay. With a little effort at home, you are ready for the next session. And on Friday, you have completed a task that for many juniors takes weeks to achieve and is extremely stressful. Contact us at 845-582-0017 or eatestprep@gmail.com, tell us your schedule, and we will guide you through the process.. It’s as easy as that!

Seniors, if you didn’t get to visit the colleges of your choice during the spring, don’t go now since the students won’t be on campus. Instead, visit each college’s website and start visiting at the end of August when students return to campus.

Graduates, here are some key actions you should be taking BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR COLLEGE if you haven’t done them already. If your college has not sent you the needed forms or information, contact the school.
1. Register for classes.
2. Submit your housing preference. Answer all questions honestly.
3. Complete health documents that are required to attend school.
4. Write all critical dates on your calendar. You don’t want to miss any orientation programs because important information will be given to students, and it is an opportunity to begin to develop relationships with other incoming freshmen.
If you didn’t get accepted to your dream school, August is the ideal time to let the Admissions Office of that school know that you are still interested in attending. Many times an accepted student is admitted to his or her ideal college because someone couldn’t attend that school, so he or she withdraws from that college. The admissions officer turns to the wait list to call a student. If the officer knows that you are still interested, you might be the first person that admissions officer calls.

Don’t forget The EA Test Prep Team is here to help. Contact us at 845-582-0017 or eatestprep@gmail.com if you would like our assistance.
