Rotary International welcomes a new Club in Town

Rotary International, the third largest service organization in the world, announced the addition of a new club in town. On Wednesday, November 14, Southeast Rotary was officially chartered and the Officers of the new club were installed during a dinner meeting at the Clocktower Grill on Route 22.

Rotary District Governor Christine Giangrasso welcomed the members and their guests to Rotary and with an impassioned speech encouraged them to maintain Rotary's mission of service before self. She recalled how Rotary helped her and her family as a young girl on Long Island and reminded them that every minute of every day a Rotarian somewhere in the world is helping someone obtain fresh water, perform surgery, provide shelter, vaccinate someone and provide hundreds of other services for those less fortunate.  She reminded the members that together there is nothing they can't do. She then read the charter and welcoming letter from the president of Rotary International and installed the club officers and its members.
