Margaret Carey - Editor

Margaret is the president and founder of Master It Media, a public relations firm specializing in developing personalized marketing strategies. In 2018, Margaret was awarded the PCSN’s Lyn & Buzz Burr Excellence in Communication Award and was the adult honoree for the Westchester Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run. She is currently the Director of Public Relations for the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition and Master Networks NY/CT. She spearheads the Brewster Fall Festival and is a co-chair for the Brewster Music Festival. Margaret volunteers for many community organizations and has held a variety of board positions. She also has an extensive background in theater as a performer, director, producer, and instructor. Brewster residents since 1996, Margaret and her husband have three children and four cats. She enjoys supporting community organizations; shopping locally; and helping people find interesting things to do within their budgets.

Peter Carey - Editor

Retired Police Officer, Peter Carey is currently working for the Town of Southeast. He is President of the Board of Trustees for the Brewster Public Library and past president of Brewster High School Performing Arts Boosters. Peter established Facebook groups including Southeast/Brewster NY, which has over 2,000 followers. He is a sports fan and movie buff. 


Dr. Kenneth Hoffman, DACM, , L.Ac. CCH  ~ Natural Medicine Correspondent

Dr. Kenneth Hoffman, DACM, L.Ac. CCH is the Medical Director and Founder of SOPHIA Natural Health Center in Brookfield CT. He has performed more than 60,000 acupuncture treatments on over 7,000 patients since starting his practice, which has now grown into the busiest clinic of its kind in the state of Connecticut with multiple locations. The system of Medicine he has founded, Integrative Natural Medicine, is a unique blend of his years of experience and combines the best of eastern medicine and modern functional medical sciences. Candice Sciarrillo ~ Features & Children’s Event Reporter

Candice Sciarrillo, a Brewster resident, is the General Manager of the Carmel Cinema, our local neighborhood movie theater and Grant Writer for Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, which is a local non-profit serving individual with special needs and at-risk youth. In addition, she serves as the Treasure of the Board for the Brewster Chamber of Commerce and handles their Social Media/Marketing. She and her husband have lived in Brewster for 5 years along with their son, and they all enjoy supporting local businesses, attending community events and Broadway shows. 

Morgana Kate Watson ~ Theater Correspondent/Reviewer

Morgana Kate Watson is a writer, performer, and a Patterson native. She has holds a BA in Drama Studies from SUNY Purchase and has been performing locally and in New York City for years. Her plays have had readings at The Studio Around the Corner and Brookfield Theatre of the Arts.

Sandy Ruyack – Travel Correspondent

Sandy Ruyack is the owner and writer of the popular and award-winning adventure travel blog, Boulevards and Byways. Her stories and photographs reflect her love of travel to Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Europe as she introduces readers to off the beaten path destinations and provides travel tips, guides, and vacation inspiration. On the agency side, her company Write Choice Marketing, a direct response marketing firm for the travel industry and nonprofit sector, provides written content, account management, and strategic planning for some of the best brands and largest fundraising organizations in the US. Sandy has lived in Brewster for 34 years with her husband and splits her time between the northeast and Luquillo, Puerto Rico

Christine Bexley ~ Theater Correspondent/Reviewer

Christine Bexley is a longtime resident of the Hudson Valley and a lifelong theatrical player, having acted since childhood. She trods the boards in Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester community theatres, including directing, producing and serving as Artistic Director for Trinity Players in LaGrange, NY. For five years, Christine hosted "Intermission" oon Pawling Public Radio: a live program devoted to all elements of the craft of theatre. Christine is a proud member of the Arts on the Lake: Lake Writers in Carmel, NY, where she presents her writing and directs the annual "Tales from the Lake" performance. Christine serves residents of her community as a library clerk for the Pawling Free Library and program director for the Pawling Resource Center.

Jacqueline Carey ~ Student Editor/Administrative Assistant

Jacqueline Carey is a student at Binghamton University pursuing a degree in Psychology. She is the events coordinator for the Rainbow Pride Union at Binghamton. She volunteers at the Cultural Arts Coalition to help them in the restoration of the Old Town Hall Theater. She is a former graduate of Brewster High School where she was involved in the performing arts department. She is an avid reader and movie buff. She works with Putnam County as a summer intern in their P.I.L.O.T. program.

Peter Carey is a student at SUNY Polytechnic Institute pursuing a degree in Computer Science. He is an avid gamer. He enjoys researching, technology, and keeping up with the political climate.

Chess Cabrera ~ Student Reporter

Chess Cabrera is one of the high school reporters for HamletHub. She is very involved in her community by volunteering at the Patterson Library, being a part of a vast diversity of school clubs, and has even helped create an app for her high school newspaper called CHS Rampage (she is also the president of her newspaper club; despite only being a sophomore). Chess has always been interested in volunteering and hopes to use journalism to help others later on in life. 

Emma Duffy ~ Student Reporter

Emma Duffy is a sophomore at New Fairfield High School. She is an active member of many clubs such as choir, Peace Project, and the theater department. She has also won several writing awards, both through her school and on a national level. 

Grace Curley ~ Student Reporter

Grace Curley is a junior at Brewster High School and is thrilled to be a Student Reported for Brewster Hamlet Hub. Grace is an AP English student and plans on majoring in English in college and pursuing it as a career. Grace loves to read and write, and does it as much as she can in and out of school. Grace also enjoys singing and acting in Brewster School’s theatrical productions. When she is not writing or performing, Grace works as a camp counselor and is a member of the Girl Scouts Heart Of The Hudson organization. Grace is very thankful for this opportunity as a student reporter and looks forward to writing more for Hamlet Hub. 

Charlie Fitzpatrick ~ Student Reporter

Charlie Fitzpatrick is a sophomore at BHS who is active in the performing arts department at BHS. She is apart of every production at the high school and plays in the bands. Charlie also loves to read and write. In her free time, she can be found reading a book or practicing one of her many instruments. 

In Memoriam Stefani Gosselink ~ Arts Correspondent

Stefani Gosselink taught piano for over 39 years. She wrote about art and artists for The Putnam Times, Halston Media as well as for her own blog at StefaniGosselink.com.  She was the founder and director of Culture Camp (a camp for the arts) in Brewster for 15 years.  She taught Music History and acted as an evaluator for music at SUNY Empire State College. She had a BA in Music as well as an MALS (A Masters Degree with a special focus in Music History and Music Education).  She wrote 3 books on Music History as well as her own piano method.  Recently, she authored children’s books about studying piano.
