PLEASE HELP YOUR COMMUNITY! FOOD DRIVE -THIS SATURDAY
The Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Lakes Council #6318. The John P Mooney Council #5743, along with Town of Carmel Councilmen Frank Lombardi and Robert Schanil Jr are sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit the local food pantries at St. John’s the Evangelist and St. James parishes, this Saturday April 18th, from 9am to 12pm. Donations maybe dropped off at the Geary Skate Park parking lot across from the Mahopac Firehouse on Route 6.
We are in need of non-perishable items, such as canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, cereal, canned sauces, tomato sauce, tuna, coffee, etc. we will also be collecting money and grocery store gift cards.
There are so many in our own Town that are all in desperate need right now, so please try to help. Once these items are collected, we will bring the donations to the food pantries and work on delivering to those in need if they cannot go to the store or to the pantries themselves. Many people have asked what they can do at this time to help, so here is a great opportunity to help your community.
