Immaculate High School Honors Kathleen Casey and Jennifer Rosenblum at Annual Spring Gala Fundraiser

Immaculate High School (IHS) will honor Kathleen D. Casey, formerly of Fairfield, CT, and Jennifer E. Rosenblum of Brewster, NY, at “A Night of Magic and Intrigue” Gala for their support and commitment to Immaculate High School, Catholic education and their communities. The event will be held at the Amber Room Colonnade, Danbury, on April 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Kathleen D. Casey will receive the Nancy K. Dolan Leadership Award. Mrs. Casey served as President of Immaculate High School from 2008 to 2014.  She began her career in academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Indiana, and started in Catholic education at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Alpharetta, Georgia.  After moving to Connecticut in 2005, Mrs. Casey worked at St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School as Director of Planning and Special Projects and as a French, Science and ELA teacher until she was named President of Immaculate High School. In 2014 Mrs. Casey was appointed Associate Superintendent of Schools at the Diocese of Bridgeport to help advance the mission of diocesan schools.

Mrs. Casey is currently a partner at Partners in Mission, a consulting group that works with administrators to develop leadership and advancement solutions for Catholic schools. Prior to her career in Catholic education, Mrs. Casey worked as a Business & Senior Strategic Planner for General Motors Corporation. She has always been active in volunteering for the community and has served on numerous boards including the YMCA, the Early Childhood and Family Education Center and St. Thomas Aquinas School. Mrs. Casey has taught religious education and served as Eucharistic Minister at Catholic parishes in Georgia and Connecticut. She continues to volunteer at her current parish, Our Lady of the Snows in Quechee, Vermont, where she moved in Fall 2016.

The Nancy K. Dolan Leadership Award was established in 2006 in honor of Nancy Dolan, the first chairperson of the Immaculate High School Advisory Board. This award honors special individuals who exemplify the beliefs, dedication and work efforts of Mrs. Dolan, who served IHS tirelessly and was a strong community leader committed to Catholic education, works of charity and to helping those in need.

Jennifer E. Rosenblum will receive the Distinguished Service Award.  A believer in volunteerism, she has made vast volunteer contributions to Immaculate High School,  including serving as a President of the Immaculate High School Parent Association (IPA) and as a member of the hospitality committee, the Mustang All Sports Club (MASC) and of the IHS Enrollment Committee.

Mrs. Rosenblum’s successful retail career includes working for Saks Fifth Avenue, Talbots and Williams-Sonoma. She and her family currently own and operate JES Management, a commercial real estate firm. While raising her two children, Mrs. Rosenblum realized that volunteering at school events was important and served as a Trustee for The Melrose School followed by volunteering as the President, Vice President and Secretary of the Immaculate Parent Association.  Mrs. Rosenblum brought her retail experience to IHS, greatly expanding the school’s Mustang Wear program and launching the annual Grandparents and Special Persons Day event.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who aid and support Immaculate High School and its young men and women. Recipients have served in or around the school community and have directly aided IHS students in striving to be the best they can be both in and out of school.
