Begin your holiday shopping at the Friends of Kent Library semi-annual "giant" book sale on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4th. There will be lots of beautiful collectable and "coffee table" books. Smaller books make great "stocking stuffers". For less than the cost of a card you can give a book which reflects the interests of the recipient .
The Friends of Kent Library are holding the book sale with free admission from 11 am. to 3:30 pm on Friday, November 3 and 10 am. to 3:30 pm on Sat., November 4. From 10 am to 11 am on Friday the 3rd there will be a $10 "early bird preview" admission fee. The sale will be inside the Kent Public Library at 17 Sybil's Crossing, Kent Lakes, NY 10512.
About 4,000 gently used books will be for sale at bargain prices in the Kent Public Library Book Cellar. Book prices range from 50 cents to $2, with some collectible and first edition books at higher prices. Children's books range from $1 each for hardcovers to 5 for $1 for paperbacks. CDs and DVDs will be on sale for $1 each.
On Saturday, November 18th from 10 am to 2:30 pm the Friends monthly Book Cellar sale will be open. Although the selection is not as large as during the Giant Book Sale, the bargains are just as impressive.
The Kent Library's Book Nook is open throughout the year on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Proceeds from book sales year-round are donated to the Kent Library to help fund projects that range from free museum passes to the Battle of the Books summer reading program for school children, all of which support the library's mission to serve "the cultural, educational, recreational and informational needs of our community."
