Birds are Flocking to the Lake

Hawk Rock Theater will perform The Birds: By Aristophanes on March 16^th and 17^th at 7:30 PM, and 18^th at 3 PM, 2018 at Arts on the Lake.

First performed 2458 years ago, it is the original irreverent comedy. The show features Hawk Rock Theatre’s unique costumes, music, puppetry, and visual surprises. Despite the title, it is a far cry from the Hitchcock horror film! Although some of these birds are a little scary.

The production features brilliantly plumaged costumes, zany musical numbers and, of course, bird’s singing their hearts out. The costumes, sets and the shadow puppetry are all hand crafted by the troupe. Hawk Rock Theatre makes its home at Arts on the Lake in Carmel. Its members include actors, artists, engineers, teachers and musicians. The Birds: By Aristophanes is their latest flight into bringing classic literature and theater to life.
