Big Truck Day and Wall Climbing at Kent Library

Summer began  with two fun outdoor events at the Kent Library.    On June 16th children and their parents were able to touch, climb on, and enjoy two fire trucks, an ambulance,  police car, construction equipment, and  well drillers this year's "Big Truck and Community Vehicle Day" .

The library would like to thank the many people, including Town of Kent Supervisor Maureen Fleming, the Kent Highway Department, the Kent Police Department,The Putnam County Sheriff's Department,  the Lake Carmel Sanitation District, The Kent Fire Department,  the Lake Carmel Fire Department, and the Boyd Artesian Well Company, who helped to make  "Big Truck Day"   a success.

On June 30th, in conjunction with the many other Town of Kent events celebrating Independence Day, visitors to the library climbed a 24' Climb Time traveling wall. Many children and the Kent Library's new youth services librarian, Eric Mahollitz, quickly climbed to the top.

Many more fun events are planned at the Kent Library for the summer. More information can be found at KentLibrary.org
