Middle School Fiction Writing Workshop at the Kent Library

Want to write your own stories but don't know how to get started? Now you can! Once a month starting Wednesday, January 16 at 4:30, students in grades 6-8 will explore various techniques of fiction writing using some of our favorite books. Get ready to write! Some aspects of writing with intention that we will discuss and explore by writing: Length, genre, audience; Character, setting, plot; Heroes, villains, and everyone in between; Foreshadowing and Planning & Plotting; Good writing habits vs. procrastination; and much more!
