The Fresh Air Fund’s Sharpe Reservation Hosts 16th Annual Sugar Maple Celebration

Sweet rewards await visitors to Sharpe Reservation on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10am – 4pm, where The Fresh Air Fund's 16th annual Sugar Maple Celebration will be in full swing. Festivities include the “Sugar Shack” open all day with ongoing maple sugaring demonstrations, planetarium shows, live animal shows, a children's nature and craft discovery center, and much more. Admission is free. Local food and crafts from Hudson Valley vendors, and lunch, are available for purchase (all sales are cash only).

The Fresh Air Fund’s Sharpe Reservation has over 2,000 acres of beautiful land with lakes, ponds, streams and hiking trails through the woods. Located in the Hudson Highlands near Fishkill, NY, Sharpe Reservation is the site of The Fresh Air Fund’s five camps, where each summer 3,000 children from New York City’s low-income communities explore the outdoors, make friends, have fun, and learn new skills. During the school year, close to 18,000 people visit Sharpe and participate in our year-round environmental educational programs.
