Food Insecurity Talk by CCE Putnam

Food Insecurity is a talk presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County

Thursday, June 6, 6:30 pm
@ Mahopac Public Library

Becca Ligrani is Community Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County and has spent nearly a decade in the food and farming field. From choosing what produce to buy at the store, to worrying about families that go hungry and farms that pollute our environment, thinking about the food system can feel overwhelming!

This talk will present science-based information about farming and food insecurity. You’ll walk away knowing small changes you can make to support local farms, healthy people, and sustainable ecosystems.

Registration for this talk is requested.  Register online at www.mahopaclibrary.org, or call 845-628-2009, ext 100.
