Board of Education seeking Budget Advisory Committee members

The Brewster Central School District Board of Education is seeking Budget Advisory Committee members to participate in the 2020-21 budget development process. Interested volunteers should review the Budget Advisory Committee Charter , which outlines the purpose of the committee. The committee will meet on the following dates: 

●  Tuesday, February 4th

●  Tuesday, March 17th

●  Tuesday, April 14th

●  Tuesday, May 5th


All meetings will be held in the District Office Board Room, located at 30 Farm To Market Road, beginning at 6:30pm.
As a precursor to the budget development process, a series of “Budget 101” workshops will be held on the following dates:

●  Tuesday, November 19th

●  Tuesday, December 3rd

●  Tuesday, December 17th


All workshops will be held in the Brewster High School Innovation Learning Center, located at 50 Foggintown Road, beginning at 6:30pm. These informative and interactive workshops are open to the entire community without any obligation to participate on the Budget Advisory Committee. We encourage you to visit our budget website for important updates throughout the budget development process. Certain 2020-21 Budget Indicators have already been identified, which point to a challenging year ahead.


If you would like to participate on the Budget Advisory Committee, kindly email a letter of interest to Ms. Susan Gavin, Board of Education Clerk, at sgavin@brewsterschools.orgno later than Friday, November 8th . Committee members will be appointed at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, November 26th.
