Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell invites you to the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the official opening of the newly renovated Office for Senior Resources Carmel Friendship Center on Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. located at the Donald B. Smith Government Campus, 110 Old Route 6, Building #1, Carmel, NY 10512.
A vision, collaboration and a lot of hard work have afforded Putnam County the opportunity to provide a beautifully renovated senior center in the Carmel area of Putnam County. Through the efforts of the former State Senator Terrence Murphy and our current State Senator Pete Harckham, grant monies were procured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program (SAM) administered through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York totaling $1,000,000. Additional funding from Putnam County along with the workmanship of the personnel from Putnam County’s Department of Highways and Facilities have made this all possible.
