Putnam Arts Council Fall Courses

The Putnam Arts Council has opened registration for the following classes this fall:

Fall Art Classes:

Fly into Fall with select virtual and on site art classes at the Putnam Arts Council in beautiful Mahopac. Come create, learn, and enjoy in the company of fellow students as you express yourself through the arts here at the Putnam Arts Council! Rest assured that here at PAC our commitment to the health and safety of our students, teachers, visitors and our community of members is of the utmost importance… especially in these uncertain times. Therefore we are enforcing and keep up-to-date with the latest New York State and CDC mandated best practices for social distancing. This means our registration for on-site classes will be limited as space and distancing demand. So sign up early and enjoy the experience of the individual attention created by the small class structure.

All of our courses are taught by working artists & educators. Our on-site classes will be held in our art studio spaces at the Belle Levine Art Center. Individual instruction, small class size, and a nurturing environment are hallmarks of our educational programs.

We offer classes that are designed for beginners as well as advance students. Learn techniques as you express yourself in a comfortable class setting where personal expression is encourage. We are proud to breathe new ideas and teaching techniques into our pottery studio with the addition of two new pottery teachers, Natalia Arbelaez and Karen Jaimes. Our new exciting on-site workshops include a workshop with Ed Dabrowski for adults and a Teen Paint Night for teens! Classes are offered in a variety of media. Come try something new or enjoy your favorites!

Virtual private lessons are also available in photography, voice and piano.

Neo-Expressionism…Abstract Art.Urban Art…Graffiti Inspired Art…are all apt descriptions of artist Ed Dabrowski’s innovative and eclectic mixed media creations.  If you are ready to move beyond realism and create work that is big and bold…art that will provoke thought and raw emotion… this workshop is for you.
