The Brewster Central Schools district is dismissing schools early today, October 22 due to concerns over recent off campus gatherings and an uptick of Covid-19 positive cases in the area.

You can expect students to be dropped off at two hours earlier than their typical dismissal time. We will conduct remote learning on Friday, October 23rd, following the 100% remote learning schedule. Staff will be teaching from home. Please note that today’s flu clinic will be rescheduled and all after-school activities are cancelled.
At this time we believe that this is unrelated to the case that caused C.V. Starr to close earlier this week. Currently, we have had no identified in-school transmission. However, after becoming aware of spread within the community, we believe that this decision is in the best interest of the health and safety of our school community. We will continue with our thorough cleaning protocols during this time and schools will not be accessible to the public.
At this time, remote learning will continue everyday with the intention of returning to the Hybrid Model on Monday, October 26th.
Students will be advised to take home materials they will need to participate in remote learning. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school principal."
