Camp Herrlich and Cents Ability, Inc. Partner up to Bring Financial Literacy Program to Hudson Valley Area

Patterson, New York – Camp Herrlich and Cents Ability, Inc. are teaming up to promote financial literacy in the Hudson Valley. As recent study showed that over 65% of Americans are financially illiterate and unable to manage their finances1, both organizations say they hope be a part of the solution within the region.

Scott Riches Camp Director at Camp Herrlich says “We are really excited to be partnering with Cents Ability. This partnership is going to allow us the opportunity to deliver personal finance curriculum that is both educational and engaging to teenagers from underserved households. The modules include things such as financial planning, budgeting, understanding credit and investing in the stock market. We are always looking for new ways to send our campers home with more life skills and this will be another great way for us to achieve this goal.”

Roy Paul, Executive Director for Cents Ability: "We at Cents Ability are excited to partner with Camp Herrlich to bring financial literacy workshops to such a great organization. Camp Herrlich does incredible and unique work in providing the tools for traditionally underserved youth to achieve personal growth and success. We feel that Cents Ability's curriculum will be a great addition to Camp Herrlich's educational programs."

“I’m pleased that we will be able to offer this financial literacy program to our campers going forward. Having previously trained as a financial literacy teacher with Cents Ability, I can attest to the quality of their program and its importance in solving an underlying issue for today’s youth.” Says Connor DiRusso, Development Chair at Camp Herrlich
